Need Help! My Girl Friend Slaps Me Whenever I Upset Her

Dear Kela,

I have a huge problem right this very moment! My girlfriend slaps me every time I get her pissed, I can’t remember how it started but I hoped she would stop. Last week, after an argument, which made me swear impulsively at her, she slapped me and for the first time I lost it and retaliated, I beat her up mercilessly. After which she fell ill, though I took full responsibility of her medicals I am scared she is might call it quits after she recovers.

Please what do I do?

Dilemma! My Boss Wants Me

Dear Kela,

I started a new job a couple of months through the help of the company's female HR manager, after waiting for 8 years without a job. I love my job, my colleagues are wonderful people and the pay is also very good. I get along with my boss, I have grown fairly close to her because I work directly under her supervision. Though, I was aware of the extra attention and chemistry between us, I quietly hoped it was not what I thought.

My fears were confirmed last week, when she called me into her office and told me point blank that she is in love with me and she wants me to marry her, that she fell in love with me the day she interviewed me for the job. She now buys me very expensive gifts and also demands my free time. I have a girlfriend that I intend settling down with, she has been with me through thick and thin.

Am scared because if I don’t reciprocate my boss’s feeling I might lose my job and find myself back in the labour market sooner than I expected after waiting this long. I don't know what to do because I don't want to lose my job, I also love my girlfriend and I don't intend to disappoint her.
What should I do?

Help! My Girlfriend Accepts Financial Assistance From Other Men

I got this email from one of my ardent readers.

Dear Love Guru

I recently found out my girlfriend is being financially supported by a man she met some years ago before we started dating. He buys her expensive gifts, gives her lots of money any time she asks, beyond what I am capable of providing. She swears they don't sleep together or have any intimate encounters at all, though they meetup and hang out once in awhile. She insists he is just a friend that she doesn't have anything to do with. I know she met this man before I came into the picture, but now that I am in. Is it possible that she is telling the truth and has had no physical relations with this man?. How could a man give a woman anything she wants, if she’s not reciprocating in kind? If I stay with her is there anyway she'll cut this off to be with me? Please help.

Worried Ken

Is it okay for a lady to accept financial assistance from other men if her man is not financially stable to cater for her needs?

Who Suffers More From A Relationship Break-Up - Men or Women?

Research has shown that unhappy romances cause men more emotional grief than women contrary to popular belief that women are the worst hit from a broken relationship. Young men and women express their distress after a breakup differently.  Women are more likely to feel depressed after a breakup and they will turn to friends and family for emotional support. While men don't discuss such matters among themselves, as they don't want to appear weak. Thereby bottling up their feelings because they have nowhere to go for emotional support- they find succor in alcohol and substance-abuse which results in negative health effects, including threatening their identity and feeling of self worth.

Do you agree that men suffers more from a relationship break-up than women?
