Dear Kela,
I started a new job a couple of months through
the help of the company's female HR manager, after waiting for 8
years without a job. I love my job, my colleagues are wonderful people and the
pay is also very good. I get along with my boss, I have grown
fairly close to her because I work directly under her supervision. Though, I
was aware of the extra attention and chemistry between us, I quietly hoped it
was not what I thought.
My fears were confirmed last week, when she called
me into her office and told me point blank that she is in love with me and she
wants me to marry her, that she fell in love with me the day she interviewed me
for the job. She now buys me very expensive gifts and also demands my free
time. I have a girlfriend that I intend settling down with, she
has been with me through thick and thin.
Am
scared because if I don’t reciprocate my boss’s feeling I might lose my job and
find myself back in the labour market sooner than I expected after
waiting this long. I don't know what to do because I don't want to lose my job,
I also love my girlfriend and I don't intend to disappoint her.
What should I do?
Julius
