Research
has shown that unhappy romances cause men more emotional grief than women
contrary to popular belief that women are the worst hit from a broken
relationship. Young men and women express their distress after a breakup differently. Women are more likely to feel depressed after
a breakup and they will turn to friends and family for emotional support. While
men don't discuss such matters among themselves, as they don't want to appear
weak. Thereby bottling up their feelings because they have nowhere to go for
emotional support- they find succor in alcohol and
substance-abuse which results in negative health effects, including threatening their identity and feeling of self worth.
Do you agree that men suffers more from a relationship break-up than women?
